At 4 months of age, my puppy, Keegan was diagnosed with lymphangioma. This is where the lymph fluid drains into the body instead of flowing through the capillaries. Over the next year and a half I had Keegan to numerous vets, massage therapists, acupuncturists and the Gainsville Vet Clinic to no avail. As time past, the fluid retention became worse. At one time, Keegans" fluid retention was over three pounds.
In the spring of last year, I was recommended to Dr. Arthur Young, of Stuart, a homeopathic vet.Dr. Young put Keegan on a raw diet with several supplements. The raw diet consisted of free range meat, organic fruits, raw vegetables and over cooked oatmeal. She was also given whole body support, phytonutrients and a vitamin supplement. Unfortunately, it did not help with the fluid build up, but it helped her overall well being. She literally played like a puppy again. Her energy level soared. She loved playing outside. Her favorite thing to do was to feed our fish in the pond. Her quality of life dramatically increased. I believe if we found Dr. Young sooner, or if we had Keegan on a raw food before she got so bad, her life would had been substantially longer.
"My Angel Girl" died on November 21, 2006. She will always have a special place in my heart.
I am writing this to let you know how important is is to feed your four legged kids quality food. I have witnessed first hand as what it can do! Read labels, beware of byproducts. Know what you are feeding. They deserve the best! Where else will you get the unconditional love that they give?
Four Paws Country Club is dedicated to Keegan and the truly amazing dog that she was. We feed only the best at FPCC. Organic, free range and holistic is the
only
way to go!
