In honor of Earth Day, the Lighthouse Center for the Arts is offering an opportunity to save the environment and some money when you register your child or grandchild for CAMP eARTh summer art camp. Now until May 1 st a 10% discount will be taken off of each week of camp registration. During the summer young artists, ages 4-12, can expand their skills and explore how to reuse, repurpose, and recycle to create ecoart a CAMP eARTh.

"We will be encouraging all budding artists to look at the world around them with an eye toward going green," said Krista Machovina, Director of Education at The School @ The Lighthouse Center for the Arts. "As they learn to use recycled materials in a new way campers may develop a deeper appreciation and understanding of their impact on our environment and how the choices they make do matter."

This eco-friendly day camp, where themes change weekly, will be held from June 8 to August 14. Young artists will explore how to make art that is good for mother earth. All instructors are art teachers in Palm Beach/Martin county schools or faculty members of The School @ The Lighthouse Center for the Arts.

There are a few remaining internship spots available for high school and college students who are looking for community service hours, art instruction experience, have an interest in becoming an artist, or like working with children. Interns will assist the art instructors with hands-on classroom instruction, curriculum development, and special event planning, promotion and production.
