CRACK THE SKY
Contributed by: Rich Albert on 9/22/2009

"Today's Sunrise" on Tuesday 09-22-09 brings clouds and rain over the horizon. No worry for the beach goers because there was very little rain over the beach. Today the sunrise came at 7:09 am.

Today's Sunrise image titled, "Crack The Sky" was captured at the Jupiter Florida Jetty where the Jupiter Inlet meets the Atlantic Ocean. This image was captured as the sun was breaking through the clouds at 7:25 am. The Nikon D-300 camera settings were: f/11, 1/500 second, ISO 100, at 405mm.

Two fishermen were fishing on the end of the jetty while the light outlined the clouds. My mind was only seeing shades of gray as I let my shutter fly. Minutes later the sun cracked opened the clouds. Bright colors then broke into the day as the sky turned blue, orange, and yellow. Suddenly all the images in my mind returned to color as another day began.
