THE HOTTEST SUSHI RESTAURANT IN PALM BEACH GARDENS UPDATES MENU WITH FRESH FLAVORS

RA SUSHI'S NEW ADDITIONS MAKE SOY SAUCE AND WASABI UNNECESSARY

PALM BEACH GARDENS (October 24, 2006) - RA Sushi, Downtown at the Gardens' stylishly edgy sushi bar and restaurant, will add a set of fresh new flavors to its already innovative menu on Tuesday, October 3. Geared more toward diners who are introducing their taste buds to the world of sushi, most of the new items feature a blend of mild seafood and the unexpected, such as jalapeno and zucchini.

To stay at the forefront of dining trends and ever-changing consumer palates, RA Sushi's corporate strategy is to update its menu annually to enable the executive chef to incorporate creative trends and unique combinations into his recipes.

"At RA, we're not timid about taste, and our Executive Chef Tai Obata loves to create dishes you can't find anywhere else," said RA Marketing Director Amy Sun. "And for the wine lovers, the new menu items are so infused with distinctive flavors that they don't require the standard soy sauce side dish, which can dilute the taste of wines and other beverages."

RA invites diners to try its:

  • Crunchy Shrimp Tempura Roll: Shrimp tempura, crab mix and cucumber rolled and topped with red beet tempura flakes and drizzled with sweet eel sauce. This dish was inspired by the popularity of RA's Crunchy Calamari Roll.
  • Pacific Roll: Spicy albacore, cilantro, jalapeno and cucumber rolled and topped with fresh avocado and mango salsa finished with red beet tempura flakes and sautéed pine and cashew nuts.
  • Mango Ceviche: Lobster, scallop, shrimp, and mango salsa ceviche served over fresh endive and avocado, finished with limes, cherry tomatoes, and sautéed pine and cashew nuts.
  • Scallop Dynamite Roll: Kani kama and cream cheese rolled in rice and seaweed, lightly tempura battered, topped with scallop dynamite and finished with eel sauce, red beet and spinach tempura flakes. This dish was inspired by the popularity of RA's Scallop Dynamite appetizer.
  • Salmon Skewer Salad: Mixed greens topped with lightly marinated yuzu grilled salmon, asparagus, crispy wonton strips and sliced lotus roots, served with a soy-ginger vinaigrette.
  • King Crab Dynamite: King crab legs, zucchini and Asian mushrooms, baked in dynamite sauce, served over wasabi mashed potatoes and drizzled with sweet eel sauce.

Tapping into the love Floridians have for mango, RA expects its Mango Ceviche to be one of the most requested dishes on its new menu, especially since it is Chef Obata's personal favorite.

"It is a refreshing dish that if eaten between two different flavored dishes, can be used as a palate cleanser," said Sun. "It also has a wonderful blend of the firm shellfish and the tropical, fleshy fruit Florida and the islands are famous for."

RA Sushi is located at Downtown at the Gardens, 11701 Lake Victoria Gardens Avenue (next door to the Yard House). Lunch is served from 11am to 3pm, and dinner from 3pm - Midnight. Happy hour food and beverage specials are offered Monday through Friday from 4 to 7pm and the bar remains open until 1am. RA Sushi's Flying Fish Lounge is the perfect place to catch some fresh fish and great drink specials. Sunday nights from 8pm to Midnight, RA goers visiting the Flying Fish Lounge will find happy hour special prices on sushi and drinks.
