The eldest of four children of an ordinary car salesman, you would think this man was just a regular Joe. Joe Biden was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania and moved to Delaware ten years later. He graduated from University of Delaware, and later earned a law degree from Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. His wife, Neilia, and daughter, Naomi, both died in a car accident while Christmas shopping. Biden's two sons were injured but luckily survived. Faced with difficulty, Joe Biden considered resigning to take care of his family, but instead took a new path.

Five years later, he remarried and had another daughter, Ashley. In 1988, he suffered a cranial aneurysm and nearly died, but again, to his luck recovered a year later. Joe Biden is the fifth youngest senator in history and Delaware's longest- serving senator, winning reelection five times with at least 58 percent of the vote.

Joe Biden is one of the most influential voices on topics such as terrorism, crime, drug policy, and women's issues. He is great at dealing with crime. In fact, Biden has been acknowledged for bringing crime rates to the lowest in a hundred years. He put over 100,000 police officers on American streets from his Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994. Biden believes that a ban on smoking would lessen chronic illnesses and holds a strong position on keeping the drinking age at 21.

Regarding civil rights and abortion, Biden believes there should be no gay marriage, but there should be equal treatment. He believes that the government should not fund abortions but have no view regarding it, and that having an abortion should be the woman's choice.

Biden also has strong views on economy, foreign policy, education and other important issues. He stands behind Obama's economic plan one hundred percent, saying that the middle class will benefit from it. He believes we should get our troops out of Iraq because it is costing Pentagon ten billion dollars a month. Regarding foreign policy, Biden once said, " Bush's approach to middle east has been disastrous." Biden is known for being Israel's best friend in the Senate and is persistently trying to ending the atrocities taking place in Darfur.

Being a regular father, Biden believes we should hire more teachers and pay them based on their performance. He said that we should have a longer school day and school year. Biden once stated, "We need a wise leader like Obama, not just a good soldier," and knows Barack Obama is fit for the position as President. Joe Biden has proved his qualifications and dedication, and is prepared to take on the job and serve our country.
