Robbed Of Life
Contributed by: Rosemary Clark on 8/27/2008

Robbed of life by a stranger's hand, as I slept within the womb, I found myself at heaven's gate, stripped of my chance to bloom. "Jesus," I asked, "Please tell me, Lord, why am I here with you? Where is the mother you chose for me? Is she here, in heaven, too?" With tears in His eyes, He took His hands and placed them upon my face. His pain was so deep He could hardly speak, as He held me in His embrace. He said, "Child, I gave you, as a gift, to be cherished, nurtured, and loved, but the gift I gave has been returned. That's why you're here above.
From the moment of your conception, I loved you through and through. To even the smallest detail, My hands created you. I placed you with care in your mother's womb. Your life would have blessed her so; but, child, she chose to send you back. Such joys she'll never know." I listened with tears streaming down my face, then I cried a solemn prayer, "Please, Jesus, forgive her sins, and show her You still care. Tell her, Lord, that there's still hope, if she earnestly seeks Your face. Let her know that You can heal her through Your love, and saving grace." It was then He raised me in His arms and I hugged Him with all my might. He gently kissed my tears away, as He held me, oh, so tight. Still, I wonder, what might have been in the life I'll never see, and how many others will have to die before they come to be.
