The last match in the undefeated season of the Jupiter High School Girls JV Soccer team is Friday , December 21stagainst Spanish River High at 5pm on their home field. Jupiter's varsity team will then take to the pitch at about 6:30. After Thursday evening's game against Palm Beach Gardens, where the score was 8-0, the JV team is looking forward to what Coach Mark Howard promises to be a high level of play.

Nina Halty started off the scoring in the Gardens game with a great head shot off an assist from Kiera Anderson in the first minute of play. Then with three assists in a row from Kristen Jones, goals were made by Kiera, then two within four minutes of each other by Lauren Heatwole to end the first half.

The second half ended in fifteen minutes with each of the four shots on goal resulting in a point on the score board, two each by Jasmine Garvey andBrittany Lear. The horn on the score board blaring at each goal courtesy of Amanda Lascheid, a varsity player, who assisted the team as timekeeper for the match.

Great Warrior defense in the 1st half by Courtney Carpentiere, Cara Nys, Callie Egan, and Brittany Morstadt along with Cat Walters, Megan Pickering, Aly Smith, and Rachel Montgomery in the 2nd half all led to the ball not even approaching Goal Keepers Emily Borland and Becky Schlosberg once all night in the chilling rain.

The Warriors have scored 57 times in their 11 matches thus far this season and have allowed just two goals, which came in the first game of the season. With one match to go, the girls are ready for winter break, then for most of them, it's on to their competitive teams for weekend tournament play through the next four months or so.
