After suffering their first defeat of the season last Friday night against the Cardinal Newman Crusaders, the Jupiter Lady Warriors bounced back with convincing wins against the Martin County Tigers and the Palm Beach Gardens Gators. The win against Gardens improved the team's record to 6-0 in their district.

In the Martin County game, the Warriors won handily 78-48 after a sloppy first quarter when they led only 19-18. Jackie Link hit four threes and finished with a season high 22 points. Shannon Caspar played another steady game and had 12 points, 10 assists and 5 rebounds. Erica Pino had 11 points with key fast break baskets and Carlayna Stone had 11 points and 7 rebounds. Becca Tassell had 8 points with three quick baskets early in the third quarter to help put the game away. Brittany Grzybowski had six rebounds.

Kayla Cormier and Maria Fernandez each had 10 points for Martin County.

Jupiter's JV team remained undefeated beating the Tigers 56-0. The Warriors played perfect defense.

Anticipating a tough game against Gardens, Jupiter never game them a chance jumping out to a 24-11 halftime lead. Jupiter's team defense, which had been absent for their last six quarters, returned to limit Gardens to 27 percent shooting.

The offense was led by Carlayna Stones' 13 points and 10 rebounds. Stone was a force on the offensive boards which resulted in key early baskets for the Warriors. Jackie Link chipped in with 8 points and Shannon Caspar with 5 points and 7 assists with each player hitting a three pointer.

Jupiter plays in a holiday tournament on December 27-29 in Fort Pierce to get ready for its next District game on January 7 against Palm Beach Lakes at Lakes. Palm Beach Lakes and Jupiter are tied for first place in the District.
