The Jupiter Mustangs JPW Gold extended their record to 4 -1 on Saturday by defeating the Pirates from Port St. Lucie Blue 41-0.
The offense had a spectacular day rushing for a total of 202 yards. They were unstoppable. Offensive linemen, Michael Dean, Tyler Gangwer, Tyler Lilly, Christopher Fantin, Joseph Yupp, Jacob Miller, Jake Kleinfeld and Jake Knorr opened huge holes all day for the mustangs. Kyle Rochefort led the offense with seven carries for 37 yards. Wesley Oldham and Ryan Hill both rushed for 33 yards. Hill scored two touchdowns and Oldham kicked two exciting extra points
Saturday. QB Shane Drohan kept the ball 4 times for 47 yards and scored one touchdown. Anthony Servideo and Jake Knorr combined for 33 yards and each added a touchdown for JPW Gold. Austin Gold had a good day as well, carrying the ball five times for nineteen yards.
The defense or "brick wall" as they were known on Saturday, held the Pirates to
-16 yards rushing for the day. Defensively Oldham led tackles with 5, followed by Luke Jamison, 4; Michael Dean, 3; Colton Mullins, and Joseph Yupp each with 2; Nissen, Rochefort, and Jake Knorr contributed solo tackles. Ashdon Williams had the sidelines cheering with his 50 yard interception TD return.
The JPW Gold Mustangs will play at home again next Saturday when they go head to head with Jupiter White.
