A "Cool" win for Pee Wee White Mustangs
Contributed by: Tim Derrico on 10/22/2009

As the first bit of cool air blew into Jupiter, the Pee Wee White Mustangs sponsored by The Waterway Cafe and Coached by Dan Schlager blew away the Jensen Beach Falcons with a final score of 39-0.

The Falcons kicked off and Drew Lipscher returned the kick for 20 yards,. On the very next play Thomas Talenti ran for 60 yards and scored the first touch down of the day. The Falcons received the ensuing kickoff and after several attempts to gain yardage failed as the Mustangs sacked the Quarterback. The next score was on a 25 yard passto Devon Bradford with Grant Wrightson running in the extra point,.

The Mustangs on- side kick was recovered by Devon Bradford and from there Tyler Coliskey ran for 10 yards, Max Jones ran for 10 yards and then a pass from Drew Lipscher to Devon Bradford brought the Mustangs to the 1 yard line. Grant Wrightson ran it in for his first touchdown of the season on the next play. Then in a powersweep Martest Sheffield scored the extra point.

" Inch by Inch" and yard by yard the Mustangs marched down the field. Kane Cochran ran 15 yards then broke free of a tackle and gained some more,. Brian Butts and T.J. Hawker each ran the ball for 10 yards on the same drive as the Mustangs moved inside the 10 yard line. Kyle Forbes moved it up the middle for 5 more yards and Richard Bowden took it to within inches of the goal. Then on a sweep play Keandre Lillard ran in for his first score of the season.

The game was filled with awesome defensive plays by Mikey Lay, Ryan Norris, Brett Messler, Kyle Meehan and Tyler Coliskey.

The Falcons threw a pass that went off the fingers of defensive player Max Jones and landed on Drew Lipsher's stomach while he was laying on the ground--for his first pick of the day. Then Eric Gvozdenovich advanced the ball for 10 yards, followed by Chandler Holroyd and Jacob Skulski who each took it for 10 yards.

The 4th quarter held some of the most dramatic moments of the game as the Mustangs trampled the Falcons. A handoff to Devon Bradford for a 20 yard gain ended in a helmut crushing tackle that stopped the game for a few moments. A Mikey Lay pass to Drew Lipscher set up a running play where Eric Gvozdenovich took it in for his first touchdown of the season.

On the Falcons next possession the Mustangshad only10 defenders on the field. The Falcons took advantage and looked like they were going to score on a sweep play, BUT Jacob Skulski came running off the sideline as the 11th defender and saved the shutout in a dramatic tackle. Their next play was intercepted by Drew Lipscher and the Mustangs had possession on the 25 yard line. On the very next play Alex Derrico broke free on a wedge play and ran 75 yards for the final touchdown.
