JUPITER, FL (October 27, 2009) - Roger Dean Stadium has named Marshall Jennings as the new General Manager for the Palm Beach Cardinals (Single-A Affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals). Since 2002, Marshall has maintained and overseen all baseball fields, grounds and landscape maintenance at the stadium. He manages his staff and works seamlessly with operations and logistics on any and all events. He has brought tremendous work ethic and leadership to the organization. "Marshall has shown tremendous initiative and cares about the entire organizational process at Roger Dean Stadium. I expect him to enhance his role even more by taking on this position," said Roger Dean Stadium General Manager, Joe Pinto.
Jennings arrived at Roger Dean Stadium from Tulane University, where he was the Director of Athletic Fields. The 1999 graduate of Mississippi State University with a B.S. in Plant and Soil Science/Golf and Sport Turf Management worked at the MSU golf course in college and interned at Disney's Wide World of Sports during the Atlanta Braves Spring Training of 1999.
About Jupiter Stadium, LLC: Opened in 1998, this $28 million complex/stadium is the only venue in the country specially designed to host 4 professional baseball teams, two Major League and two Minor League teams. The stadium is home to the Florida Marlins and the St. Louis Cardinals for Spring Training.
