The Maltz Jupiter Theatre Institute announces Summer Conservatories that will offer daily classes in dance, acting and voice and will conclude with a public performance on stage at the theatre. Two in-depth summer conservatories are being offered where your children can learn to sing, dance and perform in a professional environment while they have fun.
Starting on June 11 th a Summer Conservatory will welcome students ages 13-18 to classes held daily Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a lunch break at 12:30. This summer session will conclude on June 29 th with the performance of a full length musical. Cost is $425.
A Junior Conservatory will follow on July 9 th for children ages 8 to 13. Classes will be held daily Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a lunch break at 12:30. This summer session will conclude on July 21 st with the performance of a full length musical. Cost is $325.
All these artistic programs are taught by MJT's instructor, Judy Gelman, Education Director at the theatre and new staff vocal coach Craig Wich. Class size is limited to 60 students per session and is based on a first come first served basis with priority to current institute students. Auditions are required for both conservatories. The Maltz Jupiter Theatre opened in February 2004 as a 550-seat, nonprofit community-based regional theater in the former Burt Reynolds Dinner Theatre.
