FORT PIERCE - Teens are invited to attend a free program covering a wide variety of money-related topics at the Fort Pierce Branch Library on Thursday, July 10 at 1 p.m.
St. Lucie County Extension Office and UF/IFAS Agent Carol Alberts will present the program, which teaches safe and reliable methods of establishing credit, saving and checking accounts, and the difference between a debit card and a credit card. Find out how the library can save you lots of money. Understand the basics of saving money, writing checks, balancing a checkbook and other financial issues before you go on to college or a job.
Alberts is a graduate of the University of Florida's Food and Resource Economics Department. She has been conducting finance-related programs for the county's Extension Office for more than two years and has been a resident of Fort Pierce for more than 25 years.
This program is free and registration is not required.
