Come Out and Play!

Celebrate your ownership in over 140,000 acres of natural lands and parks in your own back-yard - and all you have to do is play!

The 2007 Ocean To Lake Greenway Celebration is this weekend - April 20 - 22, 2007. Several trail events are organized for you to participate in and show your support of our public lands and natural resources. All the trail events end up at Jonathan Dickinson State Park on Sunday, April 22 nd, where we are having a Greenway Celebration from 11:30am - 5:00 pm. Presentations by Busch Wildlife Sanctuary, clinics on kayak skills, bicycle maintenance, local geocaching, and more. Food and beverage available for purchase, including beer. Enjoy the afternoon down by the River and watch the trails end.

Geocaching is part of the Greenway! Local explorers have placed new caches along the Greenway just in time for our Celebration. Log on tohttp://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=77689c40-ea88-4549-a9db-786ca0469a67to check it out! Join us at J.D. The 2007 Ocean To Lake Greenway is hosted by Jupiter Farms Environmental Council, Inc., a local non-profit, volunteer organization. All proceeds from the event are directed to this 501(c)3 organization and dedicated to Greenway education. The event is organized by a team which includes other non-profit organizations, including Jupiter Horsemen's Association, Club Scrub, Dupuis Horsemen's Association, and Friends of Jonathan Dickinson State Park.

The Greenway Celebration would not be possible without the support of our generous land partners: Jonathan Dickinson State Park, South Florida Water Management District, Palm Beach County Environmental Resources Management and Parks and Recreation Department, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Martin County Parks and Recreation, and the Hobe Grove Conservancy. Special support has also been provided by the Town of Jupiter Water Utilities, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, and the Florida Office of Greenways and Trails.
