Beginning and Intermediate Computer Classes for Seniors Start November 2
Beginner and Intermediate computer classes for seniors are starting at Gifford Youth Activities Center. They are part of GYAC's Special "K" program started in 2000 designed to offer fun-filled and educational activities for the senior population. There is NO CHARGE for the classes. The Beginner classes focus on typing skills and senior students get individual attention and are encouraged to work at their own pace. In Intermediate class, students work with Word and other Microsoft office applications.
The FREE computer classes for seniors help them feel connected through technology to their children and grandchildren. Students gain confidence in using e-mail to communicate and filling out job and other essential applications on the internet. Interested seniors, age 55 and older, should call today to sign up 772 794 1005 ext 27 for Theresa Baxter. The Gifford Youth Activity Center is a United Way Agency, located at 4875 43rd Avenue in Vero Beach.
