Mary Snyder Honored as ABWA Woman of Distinction

The American Business Women's Association (ABWA) Woman of Tomorrow chapter recently honored Mary Snyder, Branch Manager for Workforce Solutions in Okeechobee, as their Woman of Distinction in Business Leadership.

Snyder was recognized for her expertise, her efforts through Workforce Solutions that have positively affected thousands of individuals and employers who received services and benefits through federal and state funding, and as an exceptional leader who develops and motivates others to achieve goals and objectives.

"Workforce Solutions is honored to have one of our employees recognized for their hard work and dedication," commented Gwenda Thompson, President/CEO, Workforce Solutions. "As a branch manager, Mary contributes greatly to the delivery of services to employers and jobseekers. These services enhance the quality of the workforce and the workplace in Okeechobee County."

The Business Leadership Woman of Distinction is selected because of her role in exemplifying the ABWA mission values of personal and professional growth, image enhancement for women in their local community, promotion of the economic situation of women in business, and service as a role model for other career-minded women.

Workforce Solutions, also known as The Workforce Development Board of the Treasure Coast, is a private, 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that coordinates workforce solutions for Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee and St. Lucie counties. The mission of the Board is to build an integrated workforce development system for jobseekers and employers by analyzing labor market needs, effectively and efficiently coordinating the delivery of resources, programs and services, and evaluating the results for accountability.
