6th Annual Top of the Lake BBQ Affair

Okeechobee Main Street is hosting it's annual Top of the Lake BBQ Affair and this year it's bigger and better than ever. This Florida BBQ Association sanctioned event is also a Jack Daniels Qualifier! Cooks from all over the south are getting ready to compete for top dollars and bragging rights. The grand champion will have a chance to enter the International Jack Daniels BBQ in Lynchberg, Tennessee this fall. The event will be held at the Okeechobee County Agri-Civic Center Friday January 18th and Saturday January 19th. The festivities kick off on Friday night at 6:00 pm with live music and a fun cooking contest. Prizes are given to the to BBQ sauce, apple pie, beer can chicken and everyone's favorite, "Anything But Butt!". Saturday morning gates open at 11:00 am with more live music, food, raffles, and the people's choice. There is no admission to this family event.
