THINK "SAFETY" FOR VALENTINES DAY
Contributed by: Terry Barth, FSO-PA on 1/29/2008

Instead of Roses or Candy, why don't you give the gift of Safety?
Bring your sweetheart; bring a friend or bring your entire family to our one-day Boating Safety Course. Flotilla 58 will be offering this course on February 16th from 8:45 am to 5:00 pm at the Coast Guard Auxiliary Building at 1400 Seaway Drive in Fort Pierce.

This course is a "must do" for the new boater and an excellent refresher for experienced boaters. Even if you are just a passenger or "part of the crew" on a boat, you will learn valuable information that will enhance your boating experience. You'll learn waterway signs and markings, basic navigation, Federal and State regulations, boating in adverse conditions, what to do in an emergency and much, much more.

This Boating Safety Course is State approved for those 21 and under to receive their Florida State Boater ID card. Also, check with your insurance company - some give a discount if you complete and pass this course.

Send $36 to register ($10 each for additional family members) to:

USCG AUX
C/O D. HODGES
11 HARBOUR ISLE DR. WEST 201
FT. PIERCE, FL 34949

For more information call Stephanie at 772-466-6587 or Gary at 772-321-3041.

Space is limited so register NOW! See you in class!
