The About Boating Safely course is a "safe boating" course designed
especially for the recreational boater, to encourage safety on the
water.
Enjoy your boating experience more by learning the rules of the waterway. Learn how to identify potentially dangerous situations and how to manage them.
Be aware of waterway signs and markings, what they mean and how to negotiate the waterway with ease. Learn basic navigation, docking in wind and basic survival skills.
-WHY IS IT FOR ME?
This course emphasizes safety on the water to enhance your boating experience and increase your confidence on the water.
For new boaters, this is a "must do" program.
For seasoned boaters, it's always a great idea to refresh your knowledge.
Check with your Insurance Company. Many insurance companies will
give you a discount after passing the course.
Upon completion, this course is approved by the State of Florida for you to receive your Boaters ID Card. Remember, if you're under 22 you're required to have a Florida Boaters ID Card.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE??
JUST ONE EASY DAY!!!
PLUS, IT'S FUN!!!
Courses are held at the Flotilla 58 Coast Guard Auxiliary Building at
1400 Seaway Dr.,
Ft. Pierce Fl. 34949 (South Beach)
