ANIMAL WISDOM

Animals be they pets or wildlife deserve our care and respect. They are all a part of our world and probably doing a better job than we humans in protecting the earth. In my blogs, I will share stories ablut my Mike and Mysha, Cairn Terriers in thier senior years and voice my opinions occasionally about the hurt we humans inflict on the animals who ask nothing more but to share this earth with us.

CARING FOR MYSHA

Today, is one of Mysha's better days. Tomorrow, she will get her drain tubes
removed and hopefully the aggressive infection which has tormented her little body will be significantly reduced.

A couple of months ago, Mysha had a tumor on her leg, the vet did not want to operate due to her age of 14 years. Unfortunately, it abscessed and there was no choice. Since then, I have become more mindful of enjoying the time we have with her and her brother MIke.

I am in awe of the medical techniques used by our great vets. Thankfully mine
is great. We brought Mysha to him after a trip to Georgia.The swelling was terrible and we did not know at the time it was and infection, we thought it was the tumor coming back only this time in her neck region.

The day after we got home which was Memorial Monday, we cried and said our thank you's and good bye's. I have learned that while waiting to get to your vet, looking on the internet for a diagnosis can be dangerous and misleading.

The following day, our vet looked at her and said he thought he could give her some quality life by fighting the infection. What an emotional roller coaster !!!

The days following were exhausting . Taking care of the drain tubes, force feeding her and getting all those lovely pills in her and then having to change medications since she had bad reactions was a real ride.

All this and the little girl looks at us with those brown eyes and we look back , wishing we could talk about it.

How we love our little Mysha !!!!!
