America On The Move

What:	NEXT › ‹ PREVIOUS Join America On the Move in September for a month-long celebration focused on getting Americans to take easy, small steps that could ultimately lead to big changes in their everyday lives. With a goal to reach over 500,000 people, America On the Move is expanding its annual Day of Action with its partners and sponsors in order to mobilize more Americans and provide them with easy to use tools that will ultimately lead to a healthier lifestyle through active living and healthy eating. Another exciting addition this year is the America On the Move's partnership with the YMCA! Over 500 YMCAs around the country will be hosting events and activities in their communities during the week of September 23-30th. This is part of the YMCA's Activate America initiative, which is a national mobilization effort to make healthy living a reality for millions of Americans. Here's a sneak peak at what's planned for AOM Month: Starting in June: A planning guide will be available to help groups like worksites, schools, faith-based groups, YMCAs, and families plan local activities in celebration of AOM Month. In late July: Turnkey promotional materials will be posted, including fliers, handouts, and posters that you can use to help promote your events. Beginning September 1: A promotional campaign will encourage individuals to join AOM during the month of September. For every person who joins during the month, a donation will be made to the AOM Kids Fund, which supports AOM research and programs to combat obesity. Everyone who joins will also be able to download fun coupons and incentives from our sponsors. We look forward to having you join us in celebrating AOM Month!
