Saint Partrick's day was celebrated in Lake Worth with a wonderful parade on March 17,2006. All units marched with their green hats, some in kilts, but all in full dress of green frills. I am best known as "ZIG" the clown and with my little clown bike celebrated by riding
the parade route while listening to the cheers of the crowd.
That was the HAPPY CLOWN.
My husband Tom and I packed up my little bike and headed for home. No more than 30 minutes later I was being strapped onto a stretcher and being wheeled into the emergency room at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Palm Beach. Someone had entered the intersection going at a high rate of speed slamming into our Van knocking us into two other cars. Needless to say I was a SAD CLOWN being wisked off to X-ray in full clown get-up. It's been a great outcome with no broken bones for either of us just a lot of aches and pains. If you think in pictures you have to at least get a laugh out of the contrast. And the best part I did bring a few stange looks and a laugh or two entering the emergency room and on the ambulance ride . It took be a few days before I could laugh without pain but God was with us and the old body is healing. It is pretty funny now to think how I must have looked sitting on the curb next to our wrecked car. Colene Beckett
