Sunset Mixer - 5:30-7pm - The Gifford Youth Activity Center/Youth Guidance will host this event at Waldo's, on the deck, 3150 Ocean Drive, to bring together current mentors and potential volunteers/mentors to learn how easy it is for businesses, groups and individuals to make a difference in the life of a child in need. Residents of Indian River County are invited to enjoy a fun-filled evening, while receiving pertinent information for a worthwhile cause. There will be hors d'oeuvres and cash bar. Friday, November 2-Sunday, November 4
"Access Granted", a Regional Prophetic Conference and Seminar will be held at 7pm Friday & Saturday, 11/2 & 3, and 10am Sunday, 11/4. The featured guest speaker will be Gary Goodell, the international overseer of the "Third Day Church" network, as well as the co-author with Graham Cooke of the book, "Permission Granted to do Church Differently in the 21st Century!" He will be joined by local leaders and Regional Ministry & Prophetic Teams will be available. The public is welcome to attend; admission is free. All services will be held at the Leighton Park Community Center in Palm City. At 1:30pm Saturday, 11/3, a seminar will begin with a one hour question/answer session with Gary Goodell followed by various topics of discussion led by Lynnie Harlow, His Shofar Ministries, Debbora Blank, Open Heavens Centers, Rick Kendall, founder of the Body Network, and Tony & Lynne Barletta, founders of Open Heavens Centers. Saturday, November 3 - Monday, November 5
Worship Center Anniversary Celebration - The Port St. Lucie Worship Center will begin their 6th anniversary celebration with a Prayer Breakfast 8am on Saturday. A delicious hot breakfast will be served at the church to raise funds for their first international mission trip to Jamaica. Admission is adults - $15, children age 3-12 yrs. - $8, and children under 3 are free. The celebration will continue with a special guest speaker at the 10am Sunday service and it will conclude with a special 7:30pm Monday anniversary service. There will be no Sunday evening service. PSL Power Squadron Stuart Air Show Raft-up - 10am - Attention boaters...here is your opportunity to have a terrific view of the Stuart Air Show. Boat Smart - Safe Boating Class - Saturday, 9am - 4pm & Sunday, 2-4pm - basic seamanship, navigational aids, knot tying, and much more. Passing grades may lower insurance premiums and students completing the course will meet the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's boat license requirements. Tuition is free and $30.00 covers course materials; 2nd family member is only $10.00 for the exam. All students under 18 that pass the course will be reimbursed through a teen scholarship.
