Soap Box Derby for the special needs!

Hi, Welcome to kids corner , a place where kids can share special storys about cool subjects, like sports, music, movies, travel, friends,or anything fun.

Robbie Harding from Boy Scout Troop 823 and he is working on his Eagle Scout project. He will be constructing two Soap cars for children with special needs. Each car cost about $300 to build. His Fundraising will also aid a special needs child to partake in either a local race in Florida or the National Super Kids Classic held in Akron,Ohio.http://www.nationalsuperkids.org/.
In1995 ,his family became involved in soap box derby racing due to foster child in his home asked to participated in the Jenson Beach Kiwanis' race through Big Brothers/Big Sisters .Both robbie and his brother eventually took up the sport. He is now retired from racing ,and building these cars will allow him an opportunity to give back. Soap Box Derby is a value oriented organzation much like Boy scouts. It promotes sportmanship, family involvment, positive personal growth, and the opportunity for success, Robbie would like to make a difference in a special needs child life.
