Jeanette Mazzella and Tracy Clark Share Stories of Hope at
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Kickoff
Jeanette and Tracy are fighters. They believes that when you have faced something like breast cancer, your goal should not be just to survive the disease, but to work towards a future where no one has to hear the words, "You have breast cancer."
Breast cancer survivors like Ms. Mazella and Ms. Clark hope their passion has inspired others to join the fight against breast cancer as they united at the inspirational kickoff event for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. As the American Cancer Society's premier event to fight breast cancer, this noncompetitive 5K walk raises awareness and funds to provide hope for everyone facing the disease. The kickoff event marks the start of the Making Strides event season in Martin County. Last year, more than 500,000 walkers raised more than $50 million to support the American Cancer Society's breast cancer research programs and local services for patients and their families.
