Congressman Tim Mahoney was the featured speaker at the Martin County Democratic Club's annual picnic on Sunday, July 13at Indian Riverside Park in Jensen Beach. Mahoney urged the sixty enthusiastic Democrats present to tell their friends how important it is to vote for Barack Obama to help the economy and restore constitutional rights which have been diminished under President Bush. He encouraged all present to support local Democratic candidates. Local Democratic candidates speaking were Eric Brent and Tom Fullman, candidates for Martin County Commission District 1, Martha Bennett, candidate for County Commission District 3, Bill Ramos, candidate for Florida House District 81 and Catherine Hilton, candidate for Florida House District 82. Other Martin County Democratic candidates include Linda Green, candidate for County Commission District 5 and Adam Fetterman, candidate for Florida House District 81.
