Peace Veteran Met with Martin County Democrats
Contributed by: Arline Burstein on 4/6/2007

Miami Democratic activist David Patlak spoke at the April 4 meeting of the Martin County Democratic Club at the Blake Library on "A Veteran for Peace and His Adventures in Miami-Dade."

Patlak invited Martin County Democrats to join Miami Democrats in protesting on April 28 from 1-7 pm when President Bush comes to Miami Dade College Kendall Campus. He also invited Martin Democrats to present the Veterans for Peace's traveling exhibit of over 3000 tombstones -- one for each of our Iraq war dead.

Miami Democrats are reaching out to Latinos and veterans. Patlak suggested that with new teleconferencing technology, our living rooms will become the new town halls for hearing presidential candidates. Patlak is past chair of the Miami-Dade Democratic Club and Vice Chair of the South Florida Progressive Democrats.

The Martin County Democratic Club meets the first Wednesday of the month at the Blake Library in Stuart. Use of the Library meeting rooms does not imply library endorsement of the aims, policies or activities of any group using the room. For information, call Louise Cunha at 772-286-1281.
