TCU u-16 Girls at the Expo!

TCU u-16 girls win Cocoa Expo!

TCU's u-16 Girls with eight 15's and six 16's went up to Cocoa Expo to play in the U-17 age bracket.

Game 1

8:00am 31 degrees

The first game being played at 8am in 31 degree weather the girls played a tough team from Pa. The girls played hard and with 2 goals from Katie Hughes came out on top 2-1.

Game 2

2:00pm

At 2pm the girls came out strong again against a even tougher team from New Jersey scoring in the first 9 minutes by Anays Murillo but this would be all they would score giving up 3 goals in the second half losing 3-1.

Game 3

8:00am

Sunday morning again a 8am kick off the girls came to play even though they were without 2 players due to injuries, one being their starting goalie due to broken thumb and a defender.Needing only a draw to move on to the finals the girls again scored first with Lia Caudullo finding the back of the net.The game ended in a 1-1 draw setting up a rematch with the team from New Jersey.

Championship!

This time the girls came out just like the 3 other games and scored the first goal of the match by Anays Murillo.The game went back in forth with both teams having several scoring chances but TCU's defense stood up strong and prevailed for a 1-0 victory and the U-17 championship.

The team is managed by Lloyd Bayliss and coach by Sarah Rosseau.

The roster for the tournament was the followingAllyssa Caudullo,Lia Caudullo,Catie Clark,Jenna Davis,Lauren Gorodetsky,Katie Hughes,Victoria Levy,Clair McGinley,Anays Murillo,Ali Schrader,Jen Sinner,Katlyn Snow,Nicolette Tagner,and Amanda Worley.

The eight 15yr olds and several from JBSC and other local clubs will being going to Jacksonville to play for The US Club Soccer Regional title and the chance to play for a National championship at the end of May.

There are currently 14 girls rostered with US Club Soccer and we will be looking to take 4 more.
