The girls first game against Jensen Beach was played at Palm City Park with a victory of 20 - 4. All 4 pitchers Courtney Noonan, Holly Brickson, Jennifer Chamberlin and Hanna Lambros kept Jensen from scoring many runs. Heavy hitting of Val Petrolongo, Kaitlyn Brown and Megan Curivan added runs to the MCN's side of the score board.
Then the team traveled to Vero Beach to take on Port St. Lucie Nationals. Courtney Noonan pitched 12 consecutive strike outs and Jen Chamberlin had two big hits to lead MCN to a 13-1 mercy victory in the 5th inning. In the final game on May 30th, Jen Chamberlin pitched her first turnament game and heavy hitting of Sammie Noonan and Holly Brickson gave the MCN girls a 12-8 victory. In the final game there was key plays and catches by Hanna Lambros and Suzanne Brickson. The 9-10 MCNLL softball girls are tough to beat and will be back for all-stars on June 30th where they hope to repeat last years run with titles in Districts and Regionals and finally moving on to State Championship play.
