All-Star Softball team on their way to sectionals

Martin County North Little League 9-10 Softball are District 17 Champions.

The team of Lauren Anderson, Suzanne Brickson, Kaitlyn Brown, Jenni Chamberlin, Megan Curivan, Hanna Lambros, Courtney Noonan, Samantha Noonan, Valerie Pietroluongo, Katie Seaman and Courtney Tompkins; managed by Mario Pietroluongo and coach Pat Noonan went undefeated in the district series.

In last nights final game Courtney Noonan pitch a strong scoreless 3 innings and Hanna Lambros finish the 4th inning to leave the PSL National with a mercy 15 - 3. MCN brought their bats for some awesome hitting by the whole team.

In the first game of the finals MCN beat Port St. Lucie Nationals 11 - 3 with the strong pitching of Jenni Chamberlin and Hanna Lambros. Key defensive plays by catcher Courtney Tompkins and shortstop Samantha Noonan shut down any offensive attempts by the PSL National team. Strong hitting of every player helped add runs for MCN.

The MCN team were undefeated in the seeding games with wins against PSL American 13-3 mercy in the 4th and a9-4 win against PSL National.

MCN takes on Section 2 teams on Saturday, July 14 at Whispering Pines Park in Port St. Lucie. Look for game times on www.eteamz.active.com/fldistrict17 and come out and cheer the girlson to States!
