New Literary Event Premiering November 7th
Saturday In The Park with Authors & Artists is a new event for Vero Beach Main Street and the Treasure Coast Writers Guild. On the first Saturday of every month authors and artists will set up on the Heritage Center lawn in Downtown Vero Beach from 9:00am to 2:00pm. Authors will present readings and hold book discussions and there will be books of all kinds for sale. There will also be educational offerings, book signings and children's interactive activities. Artists specializing in graphics, pastels, oils/acrylics, watercolor, mixed media, photography and sculpture will exhibit and sell original art. Treasure Coast art-related nonprofit organizations will also be participating in the festivities of the day.
Saturday in The Park with Authors & Artists is a free event for art and book lovers, casual festival-goers and families. Music, food and beverages will be available. While this event shines in the backdrop of this historic downtown, there are park benches and shaded areas to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Visitors are also encouraged to patronize the many Downtown cafes for Saturday lunch.
The mission of Saturday In The Park with Authors & Artists is to promote established, new and undiscovered authors and artists to the community. Proceeds will benefit community literacy and the growth and preservation of Downtown Vero Beach.
Organizers hope to grow this outdoor artistic celebration into Vero Beach's premier literary and fine arts event.The Heritage Center is located in the heart of Downtown Vero Beach in Pocahontas Park. Authors and artists' displays and presentation tents will wind along the sidewalk area on the corner of 14 th Avenue and 21 st street.
