LIMOUSINE GOES TO THE DOGS!
Contributed by: Drue Pollack on 9/10/2007

It may be a stretch to rent a limousine to go for a bath and hair trim, but it could become grooming as usual for some of the dandy dogs in Martin County.

The Fur Seasons Resort for Pets recently unveiled their six-door Cadillac limousine which provides car service for dogs and cats who live between Palm City and Palm Beach if their owners are unable to bring them to the Resort for day care, boarding, or grooming services.

The car is specially equipped for the travelers' safety and comfort. Cats who travel in the limo ride up front in carriers that allow them to see out. Each dog-passenger uses a harness which connects to a seat-belt and, for the smaller dogs, there is a "look-out" seat up front. Protective seat covers are on the two rows of seats behind the driver. The low floor of the Cadillac makes it easy for older or arthritic dogs to step in and out. The car is even large enough for a Great Pyrenees weighing 140 lbs. to ride comfortably.

"I wanted a car with six doors and it was hard to find. We finally found the perfect car in Nashville, where it was used for corporate VIP's. Now it carries four-legged VIP's here in South Florida!" says owner Peter Einhorn, with a smile. The Fur Seasons Resort for Pets in Stuart opened in June and offers doggie day care, overnight boarding for cats and dogs, training, spa and grooming services on a 1 ½ acre campus.
