2700 North Ocean presents stylish design in resort setting

SINGER ISLAND [Riviera Beach], Fla. - The allure of oceanfront living is difficult to resist, whether you're a Florida resident or from out of the area and looking to make Florida your home. As a potential new home buyer, you are likely to be attracted to a resort destination, and there's no better one than Singer Island, the barrier island between the Atlantic Ocean and Intracoastal Waterway immediately north of legendary Palm Beach. It connects to the mainlands of North Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens where superb dining, world-class shopping, boating, golf and other recreational pursuits abound.

One of the newest condominium developments on Singer Island - 2700 North Ocean - presents exceptional purchase opportunities within two 27-story high-rise towers. Ready for occupancy in January 2008, it continues to draw buyers with discerning tastes.

To showcase the haute style synonymous with 2700 North Ocean, the visionaries behind this premier development approached three venerable magazines: Architectural Digest, Condé Nast Traveler and Elite Traveler. Their staff then helped the developer find three internationally acclaimed interior designers to create three unique interpretations of the Singer Island lifestyle.

"World-class residences deserve world-class design," said Dan Catalfumo, the project's forward-thinking general contractor and president of the full-service firm that bears his name. "Each of the three models is available for purchase, fully furnished."

The three designers include Charles Allem of CAD International, whose work has been featured in Architectural Digest and is known for glamorous spaces that combine sumptuous materials and sleek compositions; Katherine Kesler of Interspace Design, whose work has been featured in Condé Nast Traveler and has an impressive portfolio of interiors for prestigious hotels around the world; and London-based David Linley, who has been featured in Elite Traveler and boasts high-profile clients like Oprah Winfrey, Carolina Herrera, Jo Malone and others.

In his model residence, Allem created a sleek, contemporary space that is also warm and comfortable. A palette of mink, beige, sand, and chocolate provides sophisticated continuity throughout the residence. "The whole environment is one color, but there are changes in shade, tone and texture," he says.

Touches of stainless steel and soft gunmetal gray accent the model's overall palette. Stepped-back crown molding and clean-lined baseboards throughout provide definition and architectural detail, while silk area rugs highlight the rich wood of the living room floors. In the dining room, a Murano glass pendant fixture hangs over the elegant table.

"Designing for 2700 North Ocean was an opportunity to produce a fabulous interior in a building that is truly outstanding," Allem says. "Working together with Catalfumo and 2700 North Oceanwas a wonderful experience."

Katherine Kesler used dramatic gold and sienna accented with metallics to create a bold entry statement. In the main living areas, pale olive and mineral punctuate a palette of elegant neutrals, while deeper tones define the private spaces. "I like to add surprises of color to each room, and make my design statements with interior 'jewelry' to give every area its own 'wow' factor," Kesler says.

Lowered ceilings in the center of some of the rooms and soffits around the perimeters of others add architectural interest and produce a new sense of scale. "I combined exoticism and glamour to create what I call 'Glamzotic,'" Kesler says. "It's perfect for a discerning buyer who likes to entertain beautifully. The craftsmanship, the site and the views at 2700 are all spectacular, and I couldn't resist being part of the magic here."

David Linley created a design that complements the exciting exterior architecture of the towers and blends the indoors with the outdoors. "The spectacular views at 2700 Ocean are central to the color scheme, and the palette we chose mirrors the hues of the ocean and setting sun," he says.

The designer blends the aqua of the sea with deep burnt sienna, a combination that complements the warm, rich tones of rosewood and walnut. These darker finishes contrast with lighter oak flooring. While the décor reflects South Florida's tropical environment, it also carries a distinctive British style, creating a cultural fusion of natural elements juxtaposed with domestic luxury.

"The generosity of the space and the proportions of the interiors, as well as the refinement and breadth of amenities in the public areas, made this an extremely appealing project," Linley says. "It is also a pleasure to work with a renowned developer like Catalfumo."

In addition to these three spectacular interiors, visitors to 2700 North Ocean can view five models by Robb & Stucky Interiors, and three from Interiors by Steven G, the firm that designed the building's grand lobbies and other luxurious amenities.

"Although these 11 distinctive models certainly portray the lifestyle possibilities of 2700 North Ocean, there is also a twelfth model," Catalfumo notes. "A 9,000-square-foot Tower Suite is the site of this year's American Red Cross Greater Palm Beach Area Chapter Designers Show House, where 16 other talented designers are displaying their ingenuity, room by room, from January 17 through February 16.

"Every year, the show house brings together an audience of thousands who understands great design, both for interiors and exterior architecture," Catalfumo says. "The prestige of this event was a natural fit for the grandeur of 2700 North Ocean."

Through the eyes of this eclectic cadre of outstanding designers, buyers and prospective buyers will be able to imagine themselves at home in the elegant towers of 2700 North Ocean. "No expense has been spared on furnishings and details, and the results are truly a showcase of remarkable talent," Catalfumo concluded.

Upscale amenities are abundant along with the red carpet treatment and include sumptuous spaces that evoke Ritz-Carlton-like elegance, from a grand lobby with breathtaking ocean views and a cinema-style theater, to two swimming pools, a poolside bar and grille and much more.

Oceanfront condominiums at 2700 North Ocean span 1,700 to 7,200 square feet of air conditioned living space. Available residences are priced from $1.1 to $6.95 million.
