Velocity Community Credit Union Has Taken Flight

'Quality Banking With Value'

Palm Beach Gardens, FL - Velocity Community Credit Union has taken flight and now welcomes the entire community - everyone who lives, works, worships, volunteers or attends school in Palm Beach County - to enjoy the many benefits of membership. Formerly known as Florida Aircraft Federal Credit Union, Velocity has a 50-year history of providing superior financial services to its members. The name and membership changes went into effect on January 28.

Velocity offers a wide range of financial products including high-yield savings and checking products, low-cost loans, convenience services and personalized member response. The Credit Union operates in two locations: the Palm Beach Gardens Office and the Pratt & Whitney Office in Jupiter. Both offer hours that are targeted to members' needs and lifestyles. Always an active participant in the local community, the Credit Union's motto is "Not for profit, not for charity, but for service."

Velocity was founded (as Florida Aircraft FCU) in 1958 to serve the financial needs of employees and family members of Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, a division of United Technologies Corporation. Since then, the Credit Union has grown steadily, with a track record of above-average dividends and a reputation for top-quality member service. Since receiving its original charter, Velocity has grown to 24,500 members with more than $230 million in assets.

The new Velocity logo, a stylized V-Wing, emphasizes the dynamic, forward-looking approach of the Credit Union while also recalling the rich aviation heritage that is such an important part of the institution's history. It represents areal bridge between the past and the future.

Jeff Marshall, Velocity Community Credit Union president, said the Credit Union is poised for significant growth and future success.
