RECENTLY NAMED BOB HANDEL
BUSINESS ASSOCIATE OF THE YEAR North Palm Beach, FL -- The Northern Palm Beach Chapter of the American Business Women's Association recently named Bob Handel the Chapter Business Associate of the Year. Nomination is made by a member of the Chapter and is given annually to a member of the community who actively supports the community and the mission of ABWA. Nominations are judged by written entry and supporting documentation. Bob's nomination was made by fellow co-worker and Chapter member Cathy Erdek. Mr. Handel was instrumental in the development and implementation of the "Lose Your Spare Tire" program that benefited many of the Tire Kingdom employees. Cathy stated in her nomination letter, "Bob has made the executive staff at TBC/Tire Kingdom aware that wellness is an important issue, and employees need to be informed. He truly cares about the individuals in our office. His efforts in educating employees and leading them in a healthier direction is truly in line with ABWA's mission statement of educating women in business
." The Corporate Human Resources Manager for Tire Kingdom and TBC Shared Services in Juno Beach, FL, Bob has been employed there for five years. Mr. Handel is married and a resident of Tamarac, FL. He is a board member of the Human Resources Association of Palm Beach County, and he works with the American Cancer Society and The American Heart Association. The mission of ABWA is to bring together businesswomen of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking, support, and national recognition.
