PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL - Temple Judea in Palm Beach Gardens announces the opening of their Hoffinger Community Learning Center - a $1,000,000 state of the art facility for Jewish Learning. The Hoffinger Community Learning Center will host a variety of educational programs including the Parade of Holidays Sunday Preschool Program, Youth Education Program (YEP) with Religious and Hebrew schools, Bar/Bat Mitzvah Torah study with Rabbi Joel Levine, Bar/Bat Mitzvah training with Dimitry Shaposhnikov, Confirmation classes and adult continuing education.
"The Hoffinger Community Learning Center is the completion of a dream to create a Jewish spiritual center filled with the beauty of tradition, love of learning and the intimacy of Shalom," said Rabbi Levine.
The Hoffinger Community Learning Center includes seven modern, high-tech classrooms with a design that pays homage to Jewish influencers with the six columns in front of the building designated as the
Pillars of Education each honoring a famous Jewish scholar or leader.
Construction of the learning center was made possible by a generous endowment from Lorraine and Martin Hoffinger, founding members and dedicated supporters of Temple Judea. In addition to the Hoffinger endowment, temple members generously donated in response to fundraising efforts led by Mimi Rieder and Irwin Peckman.
Overseeing the project was developer, Andrew Brock, long time temple member and owner of Kiss Realty, Inc. Other members of the project team include Eric Jablin, Mayor of Palm Beach Gardens, Christine Shalloway, Senior Partner with OGS & P Architecture & Interior Design, Inc., Ed Oppel, Port of Palm Beach Commissioner, Barbara Bailey, Temple Judea's Executive Director and Limor Meital, Temple Judea's Director of Education and Faye Rosch, Immediate Past Temple President.

the temple of the northern Palm Beaches. Temple Judea's membership has almost tripled to 550 families since its move to Hood Road three years ago. The temple's growth is due, in part, to innovative programming and policies committed to meeting the needs of the Jewish community. The Hoffinger Community Learning Center represents Temple Judea's commitment to Jewish tradition and learning.
The Hoffinger Community Learning Center will officially begin operations in September, 2008 but will be giving tours of the facility during their Open House on August 15
