ROBB & STUCKY ANNOUNCES ‘ZIN-FUL’ WINE DINNER

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - The Robb & Stucky KitchenAid Culinary Center's own Executive Chef Christian Mailloux will tantalize the palate with his Zin-ful Wine Dinner on Saturday, October 25 at Robb & Stucky Patio in Palm Beach Gardens. The esteemed chef will prepare five decadent courses that he has paired with five rare Ravenswood single vineyard designates.
"This is going to be an elegant evening of incredible food, wine and conversation," said Chef Mailloux. "The event is wonderful for meeting new people and for wine aficionados and novices alike. With Kelly Pfeiffer of VineOne, we are very proud to feature some of the finest, most exclusive wines from California."
The candlelit dinner will begin with a cedar plank poor man's lobster wrapped in prosciutto with a micro-herbed salad and a meyer lemon vinaigrette paired with a 2005 Big River Zinfandel from Alexander Valley. The rest of the menu includes a scrumptious duck confit ravioli with a sweet corn puree and salsa verde paired with a 2006 Teldeschi Zinfandel from Dry Creek Valley; a bold, braised beef short rib with a goat cheese - polenta and black fig gastric paired with a 2004 Barricia Zinfandel from Sonoma Valley; a delectable veal tenderloin filet with roasted garlic-sweet potato hash, morel custard and rosemary jus lie paired with a special 2002 Monte Rosso Zinfandel, and finally a delicious chocolate chili hazelnut lava cake that is paired with a 2005 Old Hill Zinfandel from Sonoma Valley.
"I am serving bold wines and bold food in a 'feel good' environment. Food brings people together," said Chef Mailloux. "It's all about fun. My guests are going to learn a little about food and wine, while experiencing what I hope is some of the finest food they have ever tried. It's going to be a memorable evening."
In the spirit of the season, there will also be a homemade mask contest. Prizes will be given for the most original designs. Guests are encouraged, but not required to participate. The chef suggests that his guests arrive early, grab a glass of wine, get to know each other and enjoy the sunset from the comfort of his studio before the sit-down dinner.
The event starts at 7 p.m. and the dress code is business casual. Admission is $100 per person, including tax and tip. Space is limited and reservations are required.
