The Friends of Mounts Botanical Garden Education Committee and Board of Directors recently awarded a $1,000 Horticulture scholarship to Palm Beach Community College (which officially changed its name to Palm Beach State College earlier this week) to Ryan A. Agnew, a combat veteran who was wounded during his service in Iraq. Ryan grew up in Palm Beach County and enrolled in PBCC's horticulture program last January.
