Women's Health Specialists, one of the region's premier providers of health care for women, was the major sponsor for the 2006 Pink Ribbon Golf Challenge held Saturday, September 30, at the PGA National Golf Club in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Proceeds were designated for the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign.
Since 1993, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer has been the American Cancer Society's premier event to raise awareness and funds to fight breast cancer. "Women's Health Specialists was pleased to sponsor the Pink Ribbon Golf Challenge," said Alton L. Thomson, Jr., M.D. "As health care specialists catering to women, we encourage women to seek early detection and treatment of breast cancer. We were proud to participate in this fund-raising and fun event to help make strides toward a cancer-free future."
