WEST PALM BEACH, FL -- Six new members were recently elected to the Board of Directors of Renaissance Village. They are Laura Corry, Kenneth Evelyn, Barbara McMillin, Bonnie Mush, Karen Tringali and Shawn Wooden.
Corry is the lead intergovernmental representative for the South Florida Water Management District, and is responsible for establishing and maintaining partnerships with key individuals and groups in Palm Beach County. Corry has been recognized for her involvement in various Hispanic and non-Hispanic organizations and is a Lifetime Member of the Latin Chamber of Commerce of Broward County.
Evelyn is the founder and president of Benefit Management Group, a healthcare benefits and sales company, with offices in Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, Jacksonville, Atlanta and St. Louis. Evelyn is active with many area and national non-profit organizations including Walk America for the March of Dimes in St. Louis, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Horses for the Handicapped, and the Cub Scouts of America.
McMillin is the CEO of KidSantuary, Inc., a non-profit, 14-bed shelter in West Palm Beach which serves children who are in state care. Prior to KidSanctuary, McMillin had spent the last 20 years working for the Children's Home Society, the Center for Family Services and the Daily Bread Food Bank.
Mush is the retired owner of Androcles, a hair salon in which she managed for 13 years in North Palm Beach. Mush is very active with the Junior Woman's Club of the North Palm Beaches and St. Clare's School. Through the generosity of Mush and her husband Jim, Vita Nova purchased the first two resident facilities in West Palm Beach, named the Mush Campus.
Tringali is a kindergarten teacher at First United Methodist Church in Boca Raton, and a religious education instructor at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, also in Boca Raton. Tringali has served on the Board of Directors of His Caring Place in Deerfield Beach, the Catholic Charities with the Diocese of Palm Beach, and since 1985, has provided St. Joan of Arc's Easter and Thanksgiving Meals on Wheels for the elderly and homebound .
Wooden is a financial planner and partner with the firm of Garrido and Wooden Wealth Management in Ft. Lauderdale. Wooden was a former NFL player for nine years with the Miami Dolphins and the Chicago Bears, and has been actively involved with such charities as Habitat for Humanity, the Miami Dolphins Foundation and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
The six new board members join the current roster of board members: Ralph Anrrich, Kenneth Bowers, Bishop Randy Hightower and founder and chairman, Father Leo Armbrust.

"Each new member brings a wealth of expertise and acumen to help Renaissance Village achieve its mission of serving our community's most vulnerable young people, those who have aged out of foster care or have become homeless."
Renaissance Village operates Vita Nova of Renaissance Village, a residential campus for 29 young adults, age 18-25, who have aged out of foster care or have become homeless. Each resident must participate in a comprehensive Life Skills Programs, attend school or go to work, and volunteer within the community. In addition, Renaissance Village also operates the Vita Nova Thrift Store. The store serves as a training site for the residents to learn essential skills in inventory, customer relations, accounting, etc. for future employment opportunities. The store also serves as a community resource for the public to volunteer and/or donate, as well as to shop.
