Temple Judea Hosts Open House Friday, August 15;
Showcasing New Hoffinger Community Learning Center
Temple Judea in Palm Beach Gardens will host an Open House on Friday, August 15 to showcase their new Hoffinger Community Learning Center. Not officially opening until September 2008, the public will get a first glimpse of the new $1 million state-of-the-art facility which will serve not only as the center of the temple's educational programs but a place for the community to use for special events.
"My goal has been to create a special place that would support our members growing educational needs and at the same time serve our local community," said Rabbi Joel Levine. "I believe we have accomplished that dream with the creation of the Hoffinger Community Learning Center."
Temple Judea's Open House will begin at 5:30 p.m. Parents will be able to tour the new Hoffinger Community Learning Center going into each classroom to meet with the teachers while their children participate in hands on activities. Tours of Temple Judea will also be available along with a meet and greet with the temple's Rabbi, principal, staff and affiliate groups.
Other activities will include guest speaker, Kaballist Zoe Klein at 5:45 p.m., a Shabbat dinner at 6:30 p.m. and Shabbat services lead by Rabbi Levine at 7:30 pm.
The Hoffinger Community Learning Center will begin operations in September 2008 hosting a Sunday Parade of Holidays Preschool Program, the Youth Education Program (YEP) with Religious and Hebrew schools, Torah study with Rabbi Levine, Bar/Bat Mitzvah training, confirmation classes and adult continuing education.
