NORTH PALM BEACH - Local graphic designer, Danielle Nastriwon first place in the Design Against Fur 2007 poster contest. The contest was created by theFur Free Alliance, an international coalition of 35 humane and conservation organizations.
"One thing I wanted to do with the poster was make an impact. The whole point of the poster is while they do not necessarily kill the animal, they have the animals' blood on their hands," said Ms. Nastri. Her poster definitely made an impact. Being one of the few without animals in it, she used a bloody handprint and the statement, "Fashion Victims - Raise your hand if you wear fur".
"People can create some fine art pieces with graphic design today," she added. Danielle now works as a freelance graphic designer and is best known for creating eye catching logos, invitations and more. Her experience includes work for such organizations asthe Arc of Palm Beach County, Epilepsy Foundation and the Heart Association.
