Meet local author, Teri Pinney, and participate in a discussion of her book, The Missing Heart: Chronicles of an Educator, at BORDERS at Treasure Coast Mall in Jensen Beach.

Pinney's story,a fiction that's based on fact,has received acclaim from across the country. It is touted as a revealing look at what goes on in a typical high school from the perspective of an assistant principal.

Just back from her public television interview in Tampa and book promotion in Honolulu, this author continues to raise the awareness of every stakeholder in education today. Violence, sexuality, school politics, test mongering---it's in this book.

A special reading, along with a candid discussion of issues, will take place on Friday, March 20 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and onSaturday, March 21 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. There is no charge. Adult readers (parents and educators) are especially welcome.
