McMullan Awarded 2009 FAU President's Leadership Award

PORT ST. LUCIE, FL- Bonnie D. McMullan, CAP, executive secretary in the administrative office of FAU's Treasure Coast campus, received the 2009 FAU President's Leadership Award in the support personnel category. An FAU employee for 11 years, McMullan was awarded for her dedication to the university and her diligent efforts in establishing the first Treasure Coast Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP). By taking the initiative to establish this chapter, she has provided a new professional network for younger generations working in the growing Treasure Coast region. McMullan has been an active IAAP member since 1990 and maintains the Certified Administrative Professional credential.

The President's Leadership Award program is intended to recognize individual employees of FAU who have rendered services of an extraordinary nature to the greater community.

"The effort and initiative that Bonnie demonstrated in launching the IAAP Treasure Coast Chapter are commendable, and we are proud that she represented FAU so well throughout the process," said Campus Vice President Gerri McPherson. "She is an asset to the university and an ideal recipient for the President's Leadership Award."
