There is good money in babysitting....

What every parent wants in a responsible babysitter or older sibling responsible for daily help at home! This 2 day class, designed for 11-15 years olds, will teach students to:
· Interview for a babysitting job
· Choose safe and age- appropriate toys and games
· Perform first aid
· Learn diapering and feeding techniques
· Handle bedtime issues
· Learn tips for having a safe babysitting experience
· In addition students will be American Red Cross certified in Infant/Child CPR & First Aid & learn some valuable water safety tips!
Students will receive the 100 page babysitter's handbook as well as the following resources:
· Babysitter's Report Record
· Emergency Numbers and Family Information
· Babysitter's Family Information Card
· Family Interview Form
· Parental Consent and Contact Form
· Resume Template
· Self-Assessment Tool
· Safety Inspection Checklist
Class Dates:
Thursday and Friday, August 6th and 7th from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at:
North Indian River County Library 1001 Sebastian Boulevard, Sebastian

Tuesday and Wednesday, August 11th and 12th from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at:
American Red Cross Office, 2506 17th Ave, Vero Beach

Wednesday and Thursday, August 12th and 13th from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at:
American Red Cross Office 540 NW University Dr, Suite 107, Port St. Lucie

Cost $60.00 per student To register call 562-2549 in Indian River County or 878-7077 in St. Lucie County.

Students are to bring lunch. Snacks and beverages will be provided.
