Twenty Port St. Lucie High School JROTC cadets traveled to the Lawnwood Pavilion in Fort Pierce on Wednesday, October 21, to participate in the ROPES leadership course. All of them graduated.
The ROPES course is a leadership obstacle course that is divided into two parts- low ROPES and high ROPES. The low ROPES course takes place on the ground, and is typically comprised of several events/obstacles that are designed to teach teamwork and outside-the-box thinking. High ROPES is a mid-air obstacle course that is more a test of courage and physical ability.
The cadets who participated will be awarded the COPES/ROPES ribbon and arch. They all had a lot of fun, and learned leadership skills while doing it. Congratulations to all cadets who completed the course!
