The Tradition Taste of Little Italy will officially begin on Friday, February 8, 2008 in Tradition Square at 3:00 p.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony lead by local dignitaries.
The streets of Tradition will be lined with over 60 vendors serving up your favorite Italian dishes. Enjoy the sweet aromas and taste of Sausage & Peppers, Meatballs, Pizza, Calzone,Baked Ziti, Zeppole's, Italian Pastries, specialty drinks, Italian coffee and wine.
There is something for everyone at the Taste of Little Italy, from authentic Italian food to shopping the stores of Tradition and vendors who will showcase all their crafts and goods.
Bring the entire family out for a fun day and let the children enjoy the New York Mets Kids Zone where the kids can play, meet Slyder the NY Mets mascot, jump in the bounce house, speed pitch machine, hit-away game, NY Mets souvenirs and more!

The weekend of the taste is filled with excitement for all who attend the celebration. It is a time for family, a time for neighbors and friends new and old, to start a new tradition and gather in the streets of Tradition just like in Italy for a three-day Italian festival.
Event producers, Jerry Somma and Bill Fagnano will orchestrate the event and have had much success with their signature event, The Sorrento Cheese Feast of Little Italy that has been held in Palm Beach County for the past 5 years. "We hope to start a new tradition with the Taste of Little Italy in St. Lucie County and look forward to working with the team at Core Communities to make the event a big hit for residents of the surrounding areas," explains Jerry Somma.
