The show at Tradition Town Hall has everything. Cute kids and a dog? Check. Big voices? Check. Terrific songs? Check. Warm 'n' fuzzy? Check. The show is Annie, and for a small investment you are going to have a good time. Under the direction of Kate Powers and the staff of Town Square Academy of Performing Arts, the children, in only 8 weeks; had to audition, learn their lines, memorize the songs and help construct the stage and set.

Town Square Academy of Performing Arts at Tradition has proven its own with an outstanding performance on opening night. It features some of Port St. Lucie's most talented kids - Ronald Woody as a jovial Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Michael Zelenke as Irish cop Lt. Ward, just to name a couple.

Obviously, no Annie works without a charming, adorable Annie and Shannon Johannes was able to prove she had what it takes. The girls playing her fellow ''orphans'' - Shanti Girling, Sophie Phillips, Haleigh Powers, Krystelle Hernandez, Cymone Hardy, Allison Giacone, Jessica Schoken, Victoria Fallon, Taje Wright and Jessica Lee -- are just as sassily adorable as Miss Hannigan's tormentors should be, belting out It's the Hard-Knock Life as they ''scrub'' the orphanage floor.

With all the talent, outstanding vocals and dedication these children have displayed, they all deserved and received a standing ovation at the end of the show.

There are still 3 shows left. Come out to Tradition Hall Tonight August 14 th at 8 pm, Tomorrow August 15 th at 8 pm or Sunday August 16 th at 2 pm. Ticket are available at the door; Adults $8, Children (ages 3-14) $2, Seniors (63+) $5.

All proceeds will be donated to St. Lucie Humane Society, Boys & Girls Club, Adopt-a-classroom and St. Jude's Hospital.
