On Earth Day and Arbor Day this year, PSL landscape Services plans to bring in an extravagant celebration. George Kijewski, Vice President and Spokesperson for PSL Landscape Services got this project into action. On Earth Day they will be installing 35 12' trees at schools throughout St. Lucie County. For Arbor day they will be donating 13,000 trees to children in grades K-3rd grade. The trees will be native varieties such as Laurel Oak, Maple, Mahogany and Dahoon Holly. George spearheaded this project and let his passion to inspire children guide him.
"I want children to know how trees help us live and that we can't survive without them. To give kids a chance to watch a tree grow throughout their life just seems priceless to me." George's passion for landscaping and native plants started from a teen where he worked at a small nursery in Connecticut. Now he runs a major commercial landscaping business here in Saint Lucie County. He is thankful to have the opportunity to give, and hopes that the days which celebrate the Earth and the trees are just a bit more brighter for the children of Saint Lucie County.
