AH-BA-LU-FA : County Camp for All!

My family had the pleasure recently of attending camp at Ah-Ba-Lu-Fa on Selvitz Road. This campground is available for organizations to bring their members to, not just scouts. The beautiful camps are shaded and well kept. I had many conversations with John Haney, who runs and upkeeps the site for St. Lucie County Scouts,Inc. There is quite a history on the camp dating back to the 1920's. The property is truelly underutilized by the members of our community. Please take time to visit their site www.camp-ah-ba-lu-fa.org.
We can all look forward to Camp Candy in the Fall, which will be sponsored by the camp. John is always looking for assisstance and donations for maintaining the grounds. Volunteers are always welcome. What a special treat we have in our own backyards to introduce children and friends to th experience of being campers!
